April 28, 2006 -- Ferdinand, INSeufert Construction was recognized by Kimball International for its role as the general contractor on the recent showroom renovaton project.  The 35,000+ sf existing showroom area was completely demolished with 96.5% of the construction waste being either recycled or reused.  The project, designed by TVS Interiors of Chicago, successfully earned LEED-CI Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.  Since the project’s completion, it has been featured in several magazines and trade publications including the March 2006 issue of Interior Design.

Mike Kluesner, Vice President and Project Manager for Seufert commented, “The Kimball Showroom renovation project gave us an opportunity to test the strength and depth of our workforce due to the labor-intensive nature of demolishing, sorting and re-building this amount of space in a relatively short period of time.  I am pleased to say that our people came through by providing the owner with a beautiful space while exceeding the stringent standards associated with LEED-CI Gold Certification”.
