Seufert Construction Completes Expansion Project for Christian Church of Jasper

by Seufert Construction | Nov 03, 2014

Seufert Construction has completed the expansion of the Christian Church of Jasper's 2-story, 1,000+ seat sanctuary.  The sanctuary design and build-out was the second part of a two-phase project set forth as part of an overall master planning effort a few years prior.

In 2007, Seufert began working with CCJ leadership to create a master plan for the 15-acre campus, which resulted in a relocation from a warehouse located in an industrial area of Jasper to the new worship center at 1450 Energy Drive on the City's southeast side.  In 2009, the expansion began with Phase One which included a wing of children's classrooms, a children's worship area, adult classrooms, a large lobby entrance, and office space located on the second floor.  It was completed in July 2011.

The expansion and renovation was designed by Conner Architecture and features modern, functional design and aesthetics including stadium-style seating and top-notch acoustics.  Additionally, Seufert Construction worked with CCJ to provide energy efficient and green initiatives where possible.

The completion of Phase Two allows CCJ to be well-poised for rapid growth, which has led to near-continuous facility improvements since moving to the campus in 2007.  To round out the project, a cafe and gathering area are currently underway in a formerly under-utilized space.  The first service in the new sanctuary is scheduled for Sunday, November 16 at 9:00 a.m. EST.
